Location

The viewpoint is located in the location of El Mirador Volcán de Tajogaite, in El Paso, La Palma, S/C de Tenerife.

Reason(s) for the choice

We have decided to make a visitor center right in the lava flows, to promote tourism in the area with views of the volcano and its flows.

Document the work done

The first thing we did was take photos of the landscape, once the photos were taken, we analyzed it and set about making the plan of what the visitor center would be like.

The visitor center that we are going to make consists of 5 rooms, each one of them is identified in the image.

This flat is 60m long and 40m wide. In the bar/restaurant we will have typical food from the island, and in the store there will be souvenirs and products related to the events of natural phenomena.

Project report

Our Futor project consists of creating a hiking route through the volcano flows until reaching the lava delta, where two viewpoints will be made.

Next we will make a descent with a zipline and a rappelling area so that the tourists and residents can enjoy the new beaches created by the fajana without need to access by sea.

And we will also provide the bus service to take people to the point of origin, offering several alternative stops

TRAILS

There will be two trails, one that leaves from Tajogaite where the volcano is, descending through the lava flows to the fajana where the viewpoints with said activities will be. It will also have a parking area upstairs in Tajogaite where the exit starts where when you return you can walk or take the bus line, and another parking lot in La Costa next to the Rappel viewpoint, where you have two options to return either with the bus line bus or going up the zip line.

And the distance from the volcano to the viewpoints is almost 5 km.

RAPPELLING

Our idea with El Rápel, is that in the descent of the volcano flows, there is a
point where the lava flow ran down the coast, leaving a slope on one side of the
laundry, where the activity could be done…
To practice this sport we will provide the materials required for
such sport as harness, rope, carabiners, machard, descender and webbing ring
They can carry a small backpack with the necessary things

ZIPLINE

Another option to go down to the fajana that is not rappelling is a zip line so that the tourists and local people have fun while they are on their way to bathe in the new beaches of our beautiful island.
For this activity we give people what they need to practice it safely.
The harness, the connecting cables, the helmet, gloves and vest.
They can carry a small backpack with the necessary things

BUS SERVICE

We will have a starting point next to the delta that will go along the road to Puerto Naos. Once you arrive at the crossroads that gives entrance to Puerto Naos there will be two routes, one directed towards Fuencaliente passing through El Remo and the other municipalities that get in the way. The other route is towards Los Llanos de Aridane, which will have to cross the lava flows with the new road, where we will leave the central bus station of Los Llanos de Aridane so that it serves as an interconnection with other passages to different points of the islands

Somos Elvis, Dorian, Fabián y pertenecemos al 2º año del ciclo de grado medio de sistemas microinformáticos y redes, nos hemos unido al proyecto futor para exponer nuestras ideas para poder utilizar la zona que fue consumida por el volcán de Tajogaite en la isla de La Palma, Canarias.

Localización

¿De qué trata el proyecto?

De lo que consta proyecto es de crear unas instalaciones deportivas en la colada del volcán para aprovechar el terreno perdido del volcán y de lo que constan estas instalaciones serían primero habría un campo de fútbol sala y un campo de fútbol césped, además de estas dos instalaciones también habría un circuito de karts, también tenemos pensado hacer un circuito de descenso para bicicletas y por último sería un espacio donde pondríamos un rocódromo

¿Cómo vamos a realizar el proyecto?

Nuestra idea es crear un espacio deportivo en el que se utilicen las siguientes instalaciones:

– Campo de fútbol sala/ baloncesto

– Campo de Fútbol11

– Circuito de karts con temática del volcán

– Circuito de descenso para bicis

– Rocódromo

Todo esto dentro de las mismas instalaciones, es una idea que potenciaría la variedad y las ganas de hacer deporte en la isla, ya que en esta isla no hay tanta variedad de deporte nos parece una buena idea y bastante emprendedora, además volvería haber un campo de fútbol en esa zona ya que anteriormente la colada del volcán ya se llevó uno.

Conocimientos adquiridos

Gracias al proyecto Futor hemos aprendido a innovar ya utilizar los problemas en beneficios y sacar provecho a los problemas que nos puede poner delante el día a día

Razones para elegir este caso

Las erupciones volcánicas son un tema de actualidad debido a la reciente erupción del volcán de La Palma. Son sucesos geológicos de gran importancia, no solo por cómo afectan a la población residente en las zonas cercanas, si no también por su efecto medioambiental. Por ello, hemos decidido centrarnos en este tipo de fenómeno para estudiar cómo puede afectar una erupción volcánica al suelo de la zona afectada.

Antes

En esta situación, el terreno es totalmente inhabitable. El magma se encuentra todavía caliente, lo que es peligroso para los seres humanos e impide la libre circulación por el terreno.

Además, el efecto del magma puede generar incendios que destruyan los cultivos y la vegetación de la zona.

Después

Transcurridos 10 años de la erupción será posible volver a utilizar parte de las tierras afectadas para cultivo. Gracias a los componentes producidos tanto por el magma como por las cenizas, este suelo será especialmente fértil, lo que permitirá el desarrollo de cultivos como café, papaya e higos, entre otros.

Para que esto pueda producirse de manera exitosa, es necesario que se produzcan una serie de condiciones, tales como la estrecha colaboración con expertos científicos que asesoren sobre la situación del suelo, la acción de las autoridades para la protección activa de las zonas afectadas y el apoyo del gobierno para potenciar la agricultura.

Trabajo realizado

Para la realización del trabajo, los pasos que hemos seguido han sido los siguientes:
  1. Planteamiento del problema
  2. Obtención de fotografías de la zona estudiada
  3. Lectura de bibliografía sobre los efectos de las erupciones volcánicas sobre el suelo
  4. Utilización de la técnica de backcasting para predecir los pasos necesarios para llegar al futuro deseado: lluvia de ideas, análisis y creación de un plan de acción
  5. Debate en grupo
  6. Redacción de la entrada de wiki
 

Aprendizaje obtenido

Durante la realización de este trabajo hemos aprendido:
  1. Cómo utilizar una wiki dentro de WordPress.
  2. Cómo utilizar herramientas de previsión del futuro, en este caso el backcasting.
  3. Cómo realizar una lluvia de ideas y elaborar un plan de acción en base a las mismas para conseguir un objetivo.
  4. Cómo utilizar el arte digital como herramienta para la previsión de futuros posibles.
  5. Cómo plantear distintos futuros posibles e identificar las causas que puedan generar la ocurrencia de unos o de otros.
  6. Los efectos de las erupciones volcánicas sobre el suelo: las erupciones producen un suelo extremadamente fértil gracias a las altas cantidades de magnesio y potasio contenidas en las rocas volcánicas y las cenizas. Estos componentes actúan como fertilizantes naturales que favorecen las cosechas en las zonas afectadas por erupciones volcánicas.
